El Caballo de Carreras

Bryam is a courier from Yopal, Columbia who now finds himself operating in the busy streets of London. When we first met him he was riding a very impressive home build contraption that he used day to day, but his dream was to get an Omnium Cargo. As much as we appreciated his build (pictured below) we were inclined to agree that a Cargo would make his days easier (some of his drops are very bulky).

Bryam's beautiful bespoke Boardman with custom cargo fork (design belongs to Bryam- patent pending)

For his build he wanted something reliable enough to put up with the mega miles he accumulates each week (seriously it's a lot- he collected the bike in June and has already been through a chain and a cassette (and a rear wheel but thats thanks to a TFL bus driver out for blood!)). We opted for a Shimano SLX drivetrain, Deore brakes and black components to finish off the build on his Afternoon Blue frame. He also added an extender bar to the rack to increase his carrying capacity even further!

He's also recently been active in the London racing scene, entering the Off The Streets series of events, in which he did very well in his first event (placing third in the 'any bike' category criterium at Gravesend Cyclopark, which had a rather grueling offroad section.) You'll be able to catch him again this week for Round 3 which is being held at Mile End Go Kart circuit on Sat 23rd October.
