CYC B-52 Battery Pack

This pack is nice and light considering the capacity, at 2.9kg. Very nice indeed. And can be mounted in numerous different ways.

50E or 40T?

These samsung cells are the same size, but have different chemistry. The 50E has a larger capacity, at 4900mAh, but can only be discharged up to a limit of 19.6A (2 x 9.8A). The 40T has a much higher discharge current at 70A, so it is able to deliver maximum power and torque, but for a shorter time, due to its capacity of only 4000mAh.

So if long range is more important to you than extreme power then go for the 50E. But if you want to be able to get the maximum perfomance from your motor, then perhaps the 40T version is for you.

However, at the moment you cannot program the CYC Photon to have a greater current draw, so this choice is redudant and you should just get the 50E version. Unless (!) you are going to use the pack with a different motor, such as a Bafang BBS02 or BBSHD, or one of the X1 CYC motors that operate best with more juice.
