Create an accountIf you have converted your Omnium to use an electric motor, like the CYC Photon, or Bafang BBS series, then this system is a cost effective battery option that looks good, and allows removal of the battery for charging (unlike our Sentient CELL item which is fixed in place).
There is also a handy sleeve for transporting your charger if you want to charge on the go.
The CYC Photon will work with all of these. Whereas, a Bafang BBS motor will only work with the one which corresponds with the controller (so you need to check which one you have before ordering).
A 3A charger is included.
The 36v version is the lightest, but has it's limitations.
Capacity: 15Ah (504Wh)
Discharge Cut-off Voltage : 28V~30V
Max Discharge Current: 20A
The 52v is the most powerful.
Discharge Cut-off Voltage : 39.2V~42V
Max Discharge Current: 40A
The 48v is the one we would recommend for everyone.
Discharge Cut-off Voltage : 36.4V~39V
Max Discharge Current: 50A
Safety Warning:
The battery pack is a common PVC pack from a reputable German manufacturer, but the waterproofing and impact resistance are not the best.
- Batteries and faulty chargers can cause be a fire risk, if not used and charged correctly.
- Keep your charger in good condition (free from dust, water damage, damaged wiring etc.
- Do not leave on charge for more than 10 hours at a time, and do not leave unattended while charging.
- Not fully waterproof but mostly waterproof. We have noticed that sometimes the sealant where the cables come out does not completey enclose the port. Don't let this put you off though. If you keep this area dry as best as you can, and don't drop it in the canal and everything will be fine.
- Not stab or puncture proof. The PVC enclosure, and layers of cordura, will offer very good stab resistance, but there is no hard plastic or solid panel to prevent a sharp object from puncturing the battery case. Please be careful with sharp objects. It's very unlikely to ever be a problem, but it's important that we are very clear about the limitations of this design.
